Avespa’s Market Applications

Microalgae hold the promise to produce over 15,000 compounds including antioxidants, carotenoids, fatty acids, polymers, enzymes, sterols, peptides and toxins. Avespa has broken the barrier to produce any microalgae on a commercial scale using its patented photo-bioreactor (PBR) modular system.
These compounds have a wide range of applications including:
human food and beverage; animal feed (both terrestrial and in aquaculture); nutraceuticals; biofuels; and as biofertilizer to name a few.

Avespa has a patented process that has broken the barrier to produce high-density microalgae on a commercial scale.

Any Algae

There is no strain of microalgae, either fresh or salt water based, that we have not been able to grow, at much higher speed and density than normal, with our patented Photo-Bioreactor (PBR) and process.

Any Quantity

Our modular system is highly scalable and can accommodate any quantity of algae needed. By default, our far higher densities allow us to grow substantially more algae cells using much less space than traditional methods.

Any Where

Control every aspect of the environment within our tanks, allowing us to grow our algae with the exact same efficiency anywhere in the world. This combined with our higher densities reduce transportation needs and costs.

Live microalgae are irreplaceable in larval shrimp’s diet: During the first eight days of development, larval shrimp rely exclusively on microalgae as their food source. Attempts to substitute microalgae have failed.
